Scope
This policy covers https://www.acklandsportsmedicine.com, the public website of Ackland Sports Medicine. It does not cover the practice's handling of clinical records, which is governed separately by the practice's HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. Ask the office for a copy.
What this website collects
This website is a set of static pages. It has no user accounts, no database, and no server application collecting information about you. Specifically, it does not collect:
- Names, contact details, or medical information through any form on this site
- Advertising or social media tracking pixels
- Cookies set by this website
Our web host records standard server logs, which may include IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. These are used for security and to keep the site running, and are not used to build a profile of you.
Contacting the practice
When you telephone the practice, your information is handled under the practice's clinical privacy practices. When you email the practice, be aware that ordinary email is not a secure channel. We ask that you keep email brief and discuss anything clinical by telephone or in person.
