Michael Mason is an Orthopedic Surgeon who specializes in total shoulder replacement and joint replacement of the hip, knee and shoulder. He is an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Tufts School of Medicine and performs surgery at New England Baptist Hospital.
Dr. Mason is also an inventor who designs joint replacements and instrumentation as well as consults for several major Orthopedic Manufacturers. Several orthopedic implants that he has designed are presently marketed and in use, both inside and outside the US.
He was born and raised on Staten Island New York and went to college and Medical School in Philadelphia. He completed his surgical training in the Harvard program at Brigham and Womens Hospital and MGH and stayed in Boston.
Mike and his wife Heather are avid sailors. Along with their white golden retriever Georgia, they enjoy playing the waters of Newport and the Cape and Islands.
